Amazing food
I recently moved to Los Alamos and have been trying to find a restaurant with decent food. At this point I have tried almost every dining establishment in the Los Alamos area, and let me tell you, what a disapointment. Except one: the Blue Window Bistro. This is a newly reopened establishment with better food than meny Santa Fe restaurants. The service is still a little slow, however in the first two weeks of The Blue Windows reopening I have been three times and every time it gets better. The food is magnificent and is completely worth the wait. The Blue Window Bistro is truly a diamond in the rough.    [08 Aug 2006 16:45:38]

Not worth the attempted ambiance to be treated rudely and be overpriced
I went once and had my dish (fish) uncooked/frozen in middle, the service was a bit slow. My fish was thrown back on grill with my half eaten vegetables put on plate. I figured I'd give it another chance. I was further disappointed. 3 skimpy Spring rolls atop a circle of cabbage chunks..so they drizzle pretty. There was more dipping sauce in tiny cups than food on the plate. Yes an appetizer, just made me hungrier. Ordered burger on second visit (would not risk the fish this time). The burger was very large and meat cooked properly to our orders, but they did err on the toppings. When I was obviously eating and chewing, was asked how everything was...and when I attempted to get the check...completely ignored as they kept chatting with other patrons. AWFUL!!
Some places are truly hard to believe that they are still in business~ My burger had a slimy texture and the service was AWFUL!! When I asked to speak to an owner..they were nowhere to be found. Never again will I go back. BIG LOSS.    [12 May 2007 21:20:16]

Great Food and Beer
Pleasant travel surprise. We weren't expecting such a wonderful menu, good beer list and, oh the desserts were to die for. We tried the skirt steak - done medium, the crab cake, onion soup and the gorgonzola and pear salad. Hot cider was delicious. The carrot cake was the best I think I ever had. Great Food for LA and good service
