Great food, great service, great prices This small, family operated establishment is as neat as a pin. The surprisingly diverse menu features home style American and Mexican dishes, and the daily lunch specials are always winners. The service is simple old fashioned efficiency, spiced with genuine friendliness. Jenk's may be the only place in Moriarty worth recommending. [07 Dec 2001 00:51:53]

I'll Never Go Back! Stopped in Jenk's Cafe one evening with my mother to get a bite to eat. My mother ordered a ribeye steak and I ordered a hamburger steak. The ribeye was tough and difficult to cut and chew. It was like leather. As soon as that fact was discovered, we informed the waitress and requested that we not be charged, since the steak was inedible and uneaten.
The manager came to the table and we reiterated the condition of the meat. She then took my mother's knife & fork and cut very thin slivers of the steak, saying it was not tough and that it was our responsibility to cut the meat into portions that could be eaten. She also declared that ours was the only complaint and then refused to either remove the charge or allow us to select a replacement dish.
This place fails on the quality of the food and the service. The decor is generic. I would not recommend this place to anyone. [04 Aug 2003 11:54:49]

Great Food When one walks into the restaurant one is greated with smiles and friendly hello's, a rarity in this backwoods town. The manager is a hard taskmaster. She has been in the restaurant business for 45 years and knows people. The food, while not spectacular, is the best in town. I look forward to visiting them again [17 Jun 2006 03:05:30]

A winner! The best country food I've ever had. The chicken fried is the best I've ever had. It wasn't at all greasy and just full of flavor. The pie and desserts are delectable. And the service and atmosphere is just wonderful. [28 Aug 2007 19:54:44]
