Kowboy & Shaffer Join Forces in Mountainair
The Kowboy Kafe and the Shaffer Hotel have joined forces to enliven the old hotel's Dining Room. The ambience is historic and the food comfortable. The recent move by the Kowboy Kafe into Pops Shaffer's Hotel was greatly heralded by the small town crowd, giving them more room and better atmosphere. Leah Riley, owner of the Kowboy, is working hard to revise her menu and eagerly awaits suggestions from her town clientele. Meanwhile, the usual staple meals sprinkled with daily specials continue to draw the old and new to the Kowboy Kafe, now located one block South of its former Broadway site on the original Main Street inside the Shaffer Hotel Dining room.    [07 May 2003 16:47:29]

Kowboy Kafe The Best In Family Dining!
Herman and Leah Riley have owned and operated the Kowboy Kafe for years and it is GREAT to have them back serving the consuming public in the Shaffer Hotel's Dining Room!

Myself and my family have enjoyed the Kowboys fare for years and the food has always been excellent in taste, presentation, quality and quantity!

The Kowboy Kafe also offers catering services for those special events and with the move back to the Shaffer Hotel, the Kowboy Kafe's catering service in combination with the Shaffer Hotels meeting room can not be beat!
