Exceptional Value This restaurant would have gone unnoticed if I had not been driving through the parking lot. Portions were large and the food was excellent. I was there at lunch and the service was outstanding. [27 Aug 2003 10:15:50]

Not very good at all We just finished dining on carryout from the Peking House. The quote on the phone said the food would be ready in 35 minutes. I arrived 45 minutes later and still had to wait for my meal. I cannot describe in words well enough how bland the food was! The entre was a very large portion, but included no vegetables. The lo mein was simply cooked spaghetti noodles, also with no vegetables. I had a cup of egg drop soup, which I have gotten from almost every chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at, and surprise surprise, not a single pea or carrot in the entire cup! I cannot stress enough the lack of flavor to all the dishes we had tonight. Beware! If you like tasteless chinese food though, I'm sure you'll be hard pressed to find a better restaurant anywhere. We are frequent customers of peking house. I do have one complaint, they take WAY too long on take outs 35-45 minutes. Most times you still have to wait once you get there. Peking house is a good option since there is no good chinese restaurants close to us. THey have good food not the best but good enough. [12 Jan 2005 20:31:35]

forget chinese food in the southwest After a year of trying to find decent Chinese food in New Mexico, I have given up. We tried take out at this place and it is as bad as everywhere else in New Mexico. New England has spoiled us into expecting a certain quality and taste. It is sadly absent here in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. None of the restaurants here have ever heard of duck sauce and the slime they call egg foo yong sauce is disgusting. We might have to endure the cold temperatures of New England this winter before we order real Chinese food again. [17 Sep 2005 18:56:05]
