SERVING GREAT HAMBURGERS FOR 50 YEARS! The Burger Trolley in Ruidoso, New Mexico isn't much to look at. With no flashy signage or brightly lighted building you just might miss it as you are traveling through. Keep a sharp eye out for the "Trolley" at 647 Sudderth Drive though because it is worth finding. As the name implies, burgers ARE the menu...big, hot, juicy, fresh burgers. Single or double they are still huge and delicious. Made only from the freshest ingredients, purchased locally on a daily basis, The Burger Trolley hamburgers pass not only the taste test but also the test of time. Face it folks, you don't stay in business for 50 years selling hamburgers unless they are real good.
Service: Nuthin' fancy but very friendly. You stand in line, order your burger and wait for it to be cooked fresh and served hot. If there's no line you can talk with Pat, the owner and cook, or one of her daughters. Care to dine in? Forget about it (unless your idea of dining in is at a picnio table inside the canopy. My favorite thing to do is to get my burger and hot, crispy, golden french fries and make it on over to Two Rivers Park (just across the way). The ambience is pure nostalgia! Nothing much has changed in 50 years. [23 Dec 2002 15:55:59]

I would tell you how it was but can't... We wanted to try this place, and on a Tuesday at 11:30 we arrived, to find NO ONE at all in the parking lot, we were the only ones there...we waited about 5-7 minutes for someone to open the window (it's a walk up establishment, you dont go inside), finally someone acknowleged us, and she was very rude, she rolled her eyes and said, "Can I help you?" We ordered, a long process for 5 people..only to be told "It will take 20 minutes." We had to be at the races in half an hour so this was not going to work. We asked why and she said that they are taking care of telephone in orders at this time.
My problem with this is that the customer who actually comes to your place should always take precedence over a fax machine! Shame on them! Take my advice...go to Cafe Rio for lunch; they have the best pizza in town, or for the price, Farleys has great burgers. Heck, MR BURGER is cheap and have a good burger...and they treat you like a CUSTOMER!

The Burger Trolley is the best I've eaten at the Burger Trolley for many years and I've also had the experience of dining throughout the country and I wouldn't rather eat anywhere else. The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. They know what they're doing. Even when you are the only one in the parking lot, don't be fooled. You're not the only one wanting a great burger, you'll have to wait your turn just like everyone else in town. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. If you don't like waiting in the parking lot, call ahead and the pick it up, that way you won't be late. [15 Nov 2006 10:34:51]
