Chili Rellenos We run quarter horses in Ruidoso and almost as exciting as the races are the Chile Rellenos. I cannot find Rellenos at any other restaurant that even compare. [10 Jun 2004 17:22:10]

Rude service, mediocre food. Waitress was very rude to us. They charged an additional 3.00 for queso topped cheese enchiladas (never mentioning this to us when ordering) as the kids didn't like the red or green sauces. They do not have reg. Tex-Mex that my children were used to. The margarita I ordered (strawberry) had a salted rim when I asked for sugared rim, and was very melted. The food was plentiful but not very good at all. Prices were way too expensive for the quality. The waitress was so rude that I called a manager because she never wrote our orders down (she figured she could remember them; I hate that) and two of our meals came out completely wrong. She kept rolling her eyes. I overheard the manager telling her that I was a B*tch. I let him have it, and finally paid a portion of my bill and left. How very rude to say something like that about me within earshot. I just thought it was awful! If you want good Mex. food, rethink this place! [21 Feb 2005 18:12:56]

My wife and I attended the restaurant in March and had a relaxing and very authentic, courteous wait staff and delicious food without an alarming price. Without a doubt, we'll take our 10 year old son the next time we eat there and we will return!
Thanks, Doug [20 Mar 2006 14:19:07]

it's NOT Tex Mex it's NEW Mex We ate here last year and thought it was the best of the places we ate. In answer to the Tex Mex lady, New Mexican Food is much different than the mundane Tex Mex she and her children are used to. We thought the food was good maybe 7 on a scale of 10, if you like New Mexican food. [13 Nov 2007 12:59:01]

The Best In Town!! I am a local here in Ruidoso. Casa Blanca is without a doubt the very best New Mexico style food that you will find! The Chipotle sauce is out of this world and the staff has made an art out of serving their delicious product. They have a full service bar, for those of you going out for drinks, and an amazing dining room upstairs!
GOTTA LOVE IT!!! [16 Nov 2007 15:19:41]

Worth driving from Nebraska for! There is no Mexican food like New Mexican food, and the Casa Blanca serves the best there is, period. [16 Nov 2008 21:12:58]

I know the difference btw Tex-Mex and New Mex I'm the one that said I ordered queso for my kids enchiladas because they don't like green or red sauce and they aren't used to New Mex, just Tex-Mex...after all, they are young kids and don't do "spicy". Its NOT that we don't like green sauce. What made me angry about this place is that the food was NOT good, the margarita was watery, and not prepared with sugar on rim (strawberry usually does), and the waitress wouldn't write down our orders, and she charged 3.00 to put queso on a 4.99 kids meal single enchilada, without mentioning that there would be an extra charge (nor was it on the menu). Then the manager called me a horrible name, right in front of me...
I had eaten there before and thought the food tasted reheated; not that fresh, but the rellenos are good. Believe it or not we ended up returning last summer, and I ordered tacos-- cant mess up tacos, right? They were soggy when i received them; the meat was very watery. Go figure--it was the only thing open at that time besides Farleys...shoulda gone to Farleys. :( [25 Jun 2009 01:05:15]
