Very expensive and very tomatoey... Lots of food but very expensive. Too much tomato sauce on everything! You can share a combo dish and have leftovers though, so if you do that, then not too expensive. I wouldn't eat here again though, just not as good as I was hoping for. Service was slow and the restaurant was empty... a bad sign too. [21 Feb 2005 18:37:47]

Excellent!!! The food was excellent, the service was superb. There was a very good selection to choose from on the menu. The food was very reasonably priced. It was the best meal we had during our stay in Ruidoso. I would highly recommend Michelena's Italian Restaurant to all who travel to or through Ruidoso. This was the best Italian food I have eaten!!! The overall atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting. We had a variety of dishes served to our party. They were all excellent. The bread was warm and fresh. What more could you ask for. Best Italian food outside of Italy I lived in Italy for four years, and have eaten Italian in all the places in the USA that are known for good Italian food. (Little Italy in NYC, "The Hill" in St Louis, & etc.) Michelena's has undoubtedly the most authentic Italian food I've eaten outside of Italy. [04 Dec 2005 20:37:42]

ummmm best italian food outside of Italy..NOT OK', I'm Italian, my father was from Italy, and a great cook, you don't get the last name of Greco being anything else.
This is not good Italian food. Its a lot of food and a lot of sauce and a lot of cheese. Its "OK" for what it is, but it's not great. I live in the DFW area and there are some pretty good places, even some chains are pretty good, but this place is just borderline "OK". I wouldn't eat here again, if I want something Italian, then I'll go to the RIO for pizza, now THAT'S SOME GOOD ITALIAN! I think this place should lower the prices and shrink the portions also...it was around 70.00 for 3 adults and a child, without any liquor. Too expensive. [25 Jun 2009 01:38:02]
