Wine I love the food at the Anasazi, and wish that the wine service was up to par. I recently suggested having dinner with a group of wine people at the restaurant, as I had been very impressed my a dinner the previous year. This was during the weekend of the Santa Fe Chile and Wine Festival. Unfortunately, the wine service was weak. The whites we ordered arrived at the table unchilled, the red vintages presented after order did not match the vintages on the wine list, and no one was able to answer our questions concerning some of our wine choices. We were told that the wine list was scheduled for an update that had not yet been accomplished. I would think that the restaurant would want their list current for the festival? The food was outstanding, but the evening ended on a dubious note due to the mediocre wine service. [05 Oct 2002 18:14:31]

What's happened to an old favorite? On Friday, the 17th of January, 2003, my wife and I looked forward to dinner at the Anasazi on our first trip of the year to Santa Fe. We arrived a few minutes early, before the opening of the restaurant, and wandered about the area, especially checking the "post-your-message boards at the Santa Fe library nearby. Returning to the restaurant, we were finally seated ten minutes late (past posted opening time), which we took to be an ominous sign. It was. The ambiance was, as always, top notch. It would be hard to argue with the setting and decor. Unfortunately, the service lacked any distinction and the food was close to being actually bad. We were very disappointed -- the restaurant has been a favorite for year. Guess in the future we'll spend more time and money at other Santa Fe restaurants, such as the Pink Adobe and the relatively new Rio Chama Steakhouse. [26 Jan 2003 14:07:06]

It was great Wonderful restaurant. The food was extremely good and well presented. The ambiance was perfect and our waiter was extremely helpful (we asked him about one soup, and explained all the others.) I would definately go there again. [17 Jul 2003 19:07:35]
