Good food in a wonderful setting. Years earlier had been a bank & alot of original fixtures still remain. The high ceiling very nice. Old charm.
The food & service was very good. Good location & was glad the hotel recommended this spot!

AWESOME
After being in a car for 12 hours we don't like fast food.

The hotel recommended the Lake City Diner. Said it was the best.

We tried it and LOVED it. I have the Southwestern Fettuccini. I was not expecting the explosion of flavor I got.

FANTASTIC. Great service. Reasonable price. Decor was interesting with it being an old bank building.

We were comfortable even dressed as casual as we were.

Thank you for this great restaurant.

The only thing I would like better is if I could get their recipe for the Southwestern Fettuccini.    [17 Jun 2005 02:17:57]

Wouldn't even let us sit down
I was traveling with my family through New Mexico from the Grand Canyon back to Austin, Texas. we stopped in Santa Rosa and was recommended Lake City by the hotel. we showed up with a "large party" of six and were told that they couldn't put two tables together even though they had more than enough tables. We were even told that the only tables that they could put together had already been pulled together and we could ask "the boss" and she would tell us no as well. Needless to say, after the warm reception we turned around and went looking for a new place to eat.    [04 Aug 2007 12:50:07]
