Unexpectedly good Found it by trying to go to Spaghetti Western. A single daily menu looked enticing. Had a grilled rice crepe filled with ground pork and asian vegetables that was excellent. Moved on to a simple, but very delicious chicken with yellow curry including Kaffir lime and coconut. Finished up with an outstanding pineapple pie that was more like a light tart with a caramelized top. Price was very reasonable for the fresh, tasty food. The plate presentation was also well done. Original, outstanding food. [06 Jun 2008 23:44:36]

Best Cuisine in Silver City By Far This restaurant is a jewel. If it were located in San Francisco, Manhattan, or LA there would be lines out the door. The food is absolutely fresh and very original. The menu varies each week. Chef Jake travels outside the country (most recently - Oaxaca, Mexico) to bring back unusual local ingredients (e.g. chiles, chocolates) with which he then creates incredibly delicious and unusual taste experiences which cross cultures and combine flavors in new and remarkable ways. His waitstaff consists of a single waiter, Raymond, who brings his own expertise and welcoming personality to the dining experience. I simply could not recommend a restaurant more highly. Each week's offerings are displayed on the 1zero6.com website. There are no reservations but if your party is four or more you can phone ahead to reserve your menu selections. The demand is such that they sometimes run out of dishes during an evening. Do yourself a favor. Dine at 1zero6. [13 Apr 2009 15:27:24]

Torte del Chocolate...dessert heaven. Glorious dessert....must have! Cobb salad was great and filling. Try and get seated in the garden, if it is not booked already. [21 May 2009 11:08:54]
