Very Good Food We have been eating here for years under two different owners. The current owner Steve May never missed a beat after he became the proprietor. The food is American, Mexican and Southwestern. Breakfast is served at all times.
The variety and quality of their dishes is excellent. You can’t miss this restaurant when you are in Silver City. [04 Jun 2004 17:36:21]

Something for Everyone Adobe Springs has plenty of variety; even the picky-est eater should find something they like, and there is a senior menu, a kids' menu and a low-carb menu, too.
My favorite dish is the Southwestern Breakfast: a plateful of eggs, hashbrowns, chopped bacon, chopped onions, cheddar cheese, and chopped green chiles. What's not to like? [17 Jun 2004 18:22:18]

YUCK!!! The food at Adobe Springs is lacking everything...taste, presentation, you name it. All fried foods taste the same, as if they have been fried in the same old grease for years. Service is unpredictable, but generally poor. The Mexican food is a joke! [03 Nov 2004 13:41:13]

Good food Have eaten here several times and have enjoyed them all. The whole wheat pancakes are very good and huge. The club sandwich is also very good. Great variety! [13 Dec 2004 10:48:09]

Not too shabby As a new resident of Silver City, this was the first restaurant I and my husband ever ate at. The atmosphere was pleasant, the waitress was nice... On subsequent visits, the food has been good- not the best ever, but not bad, either. Most of the personnel are professional. There is a hostess who looked like she just got out of the shower and got her clothes out of the dirty clothes hamper, but that is a very minor "blemish" for this restaurant. [23 Jan 2005 18:38:34]

Last resort I have eaten at Adobe Springs plenty of times, and after each time, I always wish I ate somewhere else. The food is rather plain, and for me, not much to choose from. I would recommend eating in rather than eating here. [23 Feb 2005 16:46:08]

Food OK--time to vacuum though I ate dinner at Adobe Springs 8/23. I had fajitas which were pretty decent. However, I think I felt squeamish the whole time as walking in it was obvious the floor was in desperate need of vacuuming and I brushed food crumbs off of my chair before I sat down. I really don't want to think about what the kitchen might have looked like. The young men waitering weren't the cleanest (dirty clothes, dirty bracelets). I probably wouldn't have eaten there if I'd been alone or with hubby, but was rather obligated to at the time. [24 Aug 2005 16:13:25]

I Want to Like this Place .... and the bottom line is, I just don't waste my time with it anymore. When it first opened, it was good for awhile. Have been trying it over and over again for the past 12 years and have rarely had a meal that was close to enjoyable. Once the potatoes were downright sour.
Nice selection of dishes, not prepared to my taste. The southwest salad is all right. The service is HORRIBLE 70% of the time and they can be very slow.
They boast about their desserts being home made... Well... if you consider opening a can of something, or mixing up a mix and pouring into a predone pie shell home made, then their claim is true.
They've cleaned it up some; it was downright shabby and dirty looking for awhile.
Like I said, I really want to like this place, and I just don't. [13 Jan 2006 14:47:00]

Don't Drink The Coffee Adobe Springs is what it is - a good place to grab a sandwich or burger. Breakfasts are good too but the coffee is virtually undrinkable - not just one time but EVERY time. Yes, it is often in need of sweeping up and service can vary wildly - but how many places do you know in Silver City where the service doesn't vary wildly???? [19 Mar 2006 14:26:54]

Breakfast Anytime Well, there is only one thing I order at Adobe Springs and that's breakfast. After numerous attempts at other meals with disappointment, I always return for breakfast. It's the only place in town who does have a good breakfast and the prices are down-right affordable. I've never walked out hungry after a "Big Breakfast" and I always leave hungry after the other guys' over-priced/undernourished breakfasts.
Have had friends come from other SW communities who say they haven't had better huevos rancheros anywhere! I usually get them in Christmas (half green/half red chile). The blue corn tortillas are great. But my favorite is the Big Breakfast with whole wheat pancakes... they're excellent.
Must say that the waitress could be more friendly and the restrooms could be updated and cleaned more, but I go for the breakfast and that's it. Steve's a nice guy though... always quick w/ a friendly "hello" & a cheerful chat when he has time. [10 Jun 2006 10:44:25]
