Great place!
I had never tried gelato before, probably because I don't care for ice cream. What a nice surprise! This stuff is delicious.

The owners are helpful and friendly; very pleasant to do business with.

Friendly Service and Good!
After scouting out potential spots to view the upcoming fourth of July fireworks, Tucson's Local Couple stopped in for a bit of gelato. After trying a small taste of this, and a taste of that, all offered freely with descriptions of what was in that particular flavor, we finally settled on our choices: a small with chocolate hazelnut and tiramisu (small gets two flavors) and a medium (three flavors) with chocolate hazelnut, Romeo and Juliet, and dark chocolate.

All were excellent, and while we ate we chatted with one of the owners who gave us pointers as to where to find gelato back in our neck of the woods. Naturally, when we head back to Silver, we'll head back to Alotta Gelato for our fix of gelato.    [11 Jul 2004 13:28:26]

Delicious and Different!
Welove it! It is filling! You think you can eat a large...stick with the smallest size! This stuff is filling compared to regular ice cream. We think the service is great..however we have several family members who have received very poor and even down right rude service from both the owner and his wife. In fact, they will not go with us to eat there anymore...which is too bad for us and really too bad for Alotta...as a customer poorly treated speaks louder than one who has been treated well. Can't Ask For Better.....
Last year a couple of my classmates were talking about Alotta Gelato. In the past I had trusted their recommendations and tried various hangouts. However, many, if not all were a disappointment. This time I knew things would be different and they were!!! I am now a frequent customer. Mitch and Starr are great people and very friendly! This is without a doubt the best place in Silver. Now here's something different...
No, I do not go in for the atmosphere. I go in for the gelato. It's great and an excellent alternative to ice cream. If you're lactose intolerant, here's the best option for you! Many of the fruit flavors are lactose-free (and if you want to go for it anyway, they usually have some of those pills to take away the queezy's).

The staff is friendly (including the owners) and will give you info on just about anything you can come up with to ask about the area, or just friendly chat when they have time.

It's a great change for Silver to have generous portions at reasonable prices and friendly service all at once! And, to top it off, the place is usually spotless!    [10 Jun 2006 10:55:32]
