Tasty Torta
There are a lot of restaurants in Silver City serving Mexican food. Most locals have their favorite; I find that no single restaurant completely satisfies me, but most of them have at least one dish that I especially enjoy.

At Don Fidencio's my favorite dish is the Carne Asada Torta. Carne asada is little nuggets of mildly marinated steak (not to be confused with carne adovada, which is meat more heavily marinated in a red chile sauce), and a torta is sandwich served on a round bun somewhat larger than a hamburger bun.

The Carne Asada Torta is topped with lettuce and guacamole and served with some fairly fiery green chile sauce on the side. Tasty, somewhat sloppy and cheap (under $4, if I recall correctly).    [17 Jun 2004 16:26:54]

Sonoran style?
This stuff tastes more like the Arizona style Mexican food I'm used to and it's pretty good. The carne asada and the carnitas are my favorites.    [08 Mar 2005 10:33:25]

Wow!
If you're hungry & don't have a bunch of cash, these guys pack a burrito w/ so much chicken there isn't room for anything else!

Long Long wait
We went there when it seemed to be slow (one other person in there), thinking we would get our food quickly, but we ended up waiting forever! My food tasted good at first but slowly started to taste like the chicken was old. Very dark and ugly in there too.    [09 Dec 2006 01:09:12]
