Not just another buffet. This one offers steak: rare, medium or well-done. The service has a lot to improve on and the price is a bit high. If you have 6 or more in your party you're charged a gratuity. Very disappointing considering the service most of the time. Typical Fare
There is nothing unusual about this "smorgasboard" style restaurant. You will have to eat a lot to get your money's worth.
Personally I almost never prefer steam table food over an individually prepared meal. It is fast, if you're in a hurry. If you're looking for a bargain meal look elsewhere.    [04 Jun 2004 18:18:25]

Dissapointing
While some of their food is excellent, there is a new owner and he has made changes that have driven away some of us. Like no grill anymore...strictly buffet. Service is iffy at best and the supplies are not replaced often enough if you do the buffet.    [18 Jun 2004 13:38:59]

Stopped in to see if things had changed. They had and for the better. Now offering steaks cooked to your order as part of the buffet. Mine was very good. And it seems they are doing better about restocking the steam tables. Will try again.    [21 Sep 2004 14:33:50]

NOT WORTH THE TRIP!
Unfortunately there are not too many places in Silver City with a salad bar. We go here for the salad bar...unfortunately so do worms on the broccoli, and ladybugs in the lettuce. Guess if you are into bug identification in the salad area...go for it! I have also picked up my coffee mug to find lipstick on the rim (and I was not wearing any!) Received dirty plates from the server and found a nice long hair under my fried egg at the breakfast buffet on the weekend! Sometimes it is just easier to eat at home...and know whose hair is in your food. It's a gamble..sometimes things are great and sometimes not soooo great at all!!    [03 Nov 2004 13:59:45]

Save Your Money
The salad bar had a lot of stuff to pick from but it was all OLD!!!! Except the lettuce which had some lint on it. The mashed potatoes and steak were good until I saw the lint in my lettuce. Service was good. A lady made sure we had enough clean plates and enough soda. If I were you, I would go a little further down the road and grab a chicken sandwich or a burger for a fraction of the cost.    [19 Dec 2005 23:44:59]

not up to par
I worked at this establishment when it opened in '96; I returned 10 years later to check it out (used to be great). The place was dirty, no food in the steam table and no one was anxious to replace it, the sneeze guard looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.    [13 Sep 2006 17:31:42]

Another new Manager?
They put up a pretty decent breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. Went in at 10am 3 Sundays in a row. Sometime in between the 2nd and 3rd, a new manager came in and now they're taking up the breakfast stuff at 10:40 when they say breakfast is 7 to 11!    [20 Feb 2007 17:16:32]
