The Silver Cafe is just about Silver City's last chance for the real deal. The food is outstanding, the place is small but cozy. Best of all are the prices, still very resonable. I love this place.    [18 Feb 2005 12:51:50]

This Cafe serves up horrible Mexican food!
In all honesty, this place serves up horrible tasting Mexican food. The enchiladas tasted like store bought and the beans had as much flavor as a piece of cardboard. If you want real deal Mexican food, go to El Paso or if you have the cash, go to Mexico.    [23 May 2006 12:45:23]

Service?
I guess that being a gringo gets you ignored. Have tried this place three times... the last one my friend and I sat for twenty minutes without even a word, but the Hispanic folks who came in got served immediately. I thought it was just a bad rumour, but I guess the experiment proved it true. Won't go back & won't recommend it to anyone, regardless of race.    [10 Jun 2006 13:00:53]
