Perhaps our worst restaurant meal ever! Don't be fooled by the crowd outside. They aren't going to Doc Martins, but are in front as part of the Taos Inn bar. A haughtily dramatic presentation is in order from the overbearing waitress, reciting the day's specials like a jr. high drama student. Prices are exorbitant. The lobster bread pudding was a excuse to mislabel a sorry excuse for a bad crabcake, all bread, little lobster, and a sherry sauce that reeked of Knorr-Swiss powder. The signature dish Chili Relleno was not as good as a jalapeno popper from the frozen food aisle at Costco. A pork loin was delivered dry, but with a heavily charred crust that reeked of a dirty grill. My wife's ribeye was cut in two for presentation, and so awful she spit out the first bite. I tried it to verify the reaction and it had an acrid chemical taste, combined with the fetid grill taste as well. Burned beyond belief and she ordered it medium rare. In collapsing the two halves of the ribeye, I noticed the two halves were not of the same steak, but rather of two different ribeyes, like a bad Picasso. Our complaint was quickly fixed with a zero bill except for my watery martini and we left. Only two places to eat in Taos: Lotaburger and Michaels Kitchen. [08 Jun 2005 21:52:24]

Top quality foods in Taos! Hands down. This place had the best food in Taos. The usage of elk and fresh local trout was amazing. Do not miss the homemade desserts. They were to die for. If you like margaritas, try one here or at the Adobe Bar. 15 to choose from. [13 Jul 2007 16:40:27]
