Order the Susie
I first started eating here when it was an old UPS truck with a car hop. I always get a susie, a chile relleno wrapped in a tortilla. It's delish! Everything else we have tried is also wonderful. Best Breakfast Burrito in NM.
I was at the Albertsons in Taos and asked the checker where I could get some good NM. food. Three of them say "MANTES" down the street on the left across from the Court House, so off I go. Found Mantes OK . Nice looking place, very clean inside and out.
Asked the nice girl at the counter for a breakfast burrito and she gave me the choices; I took the bacon, sausage, potato, green chile salsa, cheese, and eggs. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Victoria filled me in on the Chile Relleno Burritos so I got one to-go for lunch on the road. She brought my burrito out and it was big, hot, and with some nice hot salsa to put on each bite. It was great! Thanks to everyone, it was nice to visit your place and enjoy the best Breakfast Burrito in New Mexico, and a Super Chile Relleno burrito stuffed with seasoned ground beef, Mother's secret green chile sauce, and cheese.
