Don't Miss It! We ate breakfast and it was wonderful- wish we had found it sooner, as I would have gone back for lunch & dinner! Busy, but the line goes fast. [29 Mar 2003 13:04:38]

Awesome The food is awesome and the service is great. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner is always a treat and the portions are huge. [07 Apr 2003 15:56:43]

Forget the Tacos Crowded here in March, so we sat at the counter. The wait staff was overwhelmed and we didn't get very good service. Don't order tacos here. Pre-fabricated taco shells?! That meal was a big disappointment. I think Michael's does best with plain homestyle comfort food. We ate the meat loaf and mashed potatoes which I think was passable. We bought some green olive and cheese bread to go, too salty! [24 May 2003 23:47:56]

Don't bother! The green chile was inedible. The tamale was cold. Honestly, the worst service I have ever experienced in my life! Rude, s-l-o-w, inattentive, and we never got a couple of things we ordered. We gave honest feedback and when manager checked it out, the waitress started yelling at us and called us liars! Please - we're on vacation, remember? What about the customer??? Don't take small children here! Too slow! Dirty bathrooms. No waiting line on this day either. Trust us - save your money and go to Doc Martin's - or anywhere else!! A great disappointment. [03 Jan 2005 03:21:40]

Skiers Filling Station Have stopped here for over twenty-five years to get the perfect start on a ski day. Have never been disappointed. The green chile sauce is a must on any egg dish but if you want a plate full of taste go 'Christmas' with a little red and green chile sauce. Excellent and dependable. Wonderful, wonderful eating experience!! Stepdad & I traveled with my 5 grandchildren. Ramada recommended them. We didn't listen, went elsewhere. Food & was sooo bad we couldn't eat it. We then went to Michael's and the wait was more than worth it. The vegetarian tacos were incredible, sopapillas like home. So good that we went back the next morning for breakfast. Incredible Blue Corn Pancakes w/Pinon Syrup. The French Toast was to die for. I can't remember what else everyone had, but we loved everything. I tell everyone who I know that may be going up that way to please stop and experience their cooking. Truly New Mexican. I'm trying to relocate to the Northern part of the state. I will definately be back. My family has been in NM since 1598, can't wait to go home and Michael's will be part of home. [04 Apr 2006 18:40:10]

Great! I have never had a bad experience. All the Mexican dishes were delicious. The french fries are really good and the sopapillas are wonderful. I always buy bread to take with me. Service has been very pleasant. This is a homey place with friendly people. Don't expect a lot of frills and if they are busy, be patient. [09 May 2006 11:31:10]

ONE OF THE BEST I have gone to Michael's Kitchen since my children were little and we lived in Taos. I have been gone from Taos for a good 28 years and everytime we go visit relatives, we make sure to stop and enjoy the Vegetarian Green Chile Stew and all the other good New Mexican food. I recommend it, great food, great service, great prices. [18 May 2006 11:13:17]
