Great East coast dining You want the best east coast sub in Reno come here. Only the best meat and bread in my opinion. The pizza is great. You also get to have your chops busted by an east coast hockey player while you wait. [21 Dec 2003 20:08:52]

Philly in Reno The Real Deal! Don't accept no imitations. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I lived in South Philly up until 5 years ago. For the past five years I have been searching for anything close just to satisfy my craving for the food I grew up with. Todd at Big Apple succeeded in just that. The most authentic east coast food this side of the Mississippi! Say Hi to Todd for me, Tell him Vinny sent ya! [29 Feb 2004 22:59:18]

Best Dang Pizza in Reno, Period! A neighborhood type place with great east coast pizza - thin crusted with quality toppings - a difference you CAN taste! Mention youth ice hockey - or hockey at all - and watch Todd smile. You won't get a lot of pomp and circumstance there but the place is clean, customer friendly and well worth the trip. Definitely family friendly!
Looking for dinner and a show? Hope someone waltzes in with an attitude and pray it ain't you. [16 Jul 2004 16:04:31]

Best Pizza West Coast I have traveled up and down the west coast, during that time I looked high and low for the best pizza I still hold to my opinion that Big Apple Pizza and Subs is the best pie on the west coast. I also have been working in the culinary industry going on 6 years now i have worked in about 4 restaurants, thus far; Big Apple Pizza is also by far the cleanest restaurant I have ever worked in. Thanks to the owner (Todd Morgan) this restaurant will go very far in the industry. [02 Feb 2006 13:40:33]

Makes me Feel at home I was born in New York city so I know how pizza is supposed to taste and Big Apple comes pretty close to what I've been longing for since I moved from New York in December. [30 Apr 2006 17:53:09]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Eggplant Parm Pizza or the Eggpland Parm Sub

I miss it so! After growing up back East, I got used to a certain kind of food, with a certain kind of 'tude. I was ecstatic to find that Big Apple has both. Todd and family really put out a great spread- the pizza is thin and flavorful- even plain old cheese 'zza is enough to make your mouth water. My kids loved getting ribbed when they asked for ranch dressing with their slices, and my husband was warmly greeted with "Heyyyy- hippie surfer!" each time we showed up.
Since I've moved, it's one of only two restaurants I can say I crave. [20 Jun 2006 17:10:43]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Pepperoni pizza, or if he's got it- chicken piccatta. Ask him nice, maybe he'll make it for you!

West Coast Pizza is Great Too! Every East-Coaster I've met swears that East Coast food is no match for West Coast. Fine, Big Apple has decent pizza--but you have to deal with the New York "attitude" as well. Next time I'll be going to Pirates. [27 Aug 2006 21:41:04]

Great food with attitude! By far the best pie, hands down...Great food and a great atmosphere. A place you can bring the kids or go just to have a pie and beer with your friends and catch the game. [07 Apr 2007 17:23:15]

Big Apple Rocks! We went once and every time since, the group has gotten bigger! Family visiting from CA HAS to go there every time. Besides the food 'n' 'tude, the Morgan's give back to the community every March. Come support your local police and fire crews. [04 Aug 2007 00:48:14]
