BEST 'ZA IN BUFFALO Plain and simple, the Best Pizza in the city. Great variety of pizzas, too. Try the BBQ Chicken Pizza or the Chicken Finger Pizza for something different. All food is first rate. Service is very good. Good family restaurant. Don't miss it if you're in North Buffalo. [25 Apr 2001 16:14:22]

Bob & John's Dateline:Friday, March 18, 2005
The Breffery's Greasy Fork Supper Club (for lunch) trio blasted out of their winter doldrums to sample some of North Buffalo's fare. The destination of our fearless (except Corky)trio was Bob and John's Restaurant. Located on scenic Hertle Ave. in North Buffalo, Bob and John's is a pizza/Italian type of place. They offer many specials including all you can eat pasta on certain days and an all you can eat pizza and salad bar. Our visit was for the pizza and salad bar. They have a nice variety of salad toppings and dressings and two varieties of soup. The pizza is served hot and fresh and they offer different types throughout the lunch. Brother Rice and I started off with bowls of the New England clam chowder, and it was delicious. We even convinced Commissioner Corkey to try the chowder as well. The other soup was vegetable and looked and smelled good as well, but it is lent so we stuck with the chowder. I'm not sure if it was homemade but it was good none the less. Brother Rice and the Commissioner had salads and I went right for the pizza. The first round was cheese and pepperoni, and was piping hot from the oven. Then they brought out mushroom and green pepper topped pizza, followed by chicken finger pizza which was excellent. They then brought a thin crust pizza and what appeared to be a double cheese pizza. By this time we were quite stuffed although we did not try every type of pizza offered, we had enough to know they were all very good. The place got crowded in a hurry and most patrons opted for the pizza/salad bar as well. Even though there were many people there, the staff keeps the pies coming so there was no long wait as there is at other buffets. Total for each was $8 smackers, with tip. Not bad for a full lunch. Three Forks up! Until the chowder gets louder, keep on Greasin.
