WORTH THE TRIP! My spouse and I drove from Central Ohio for an overnight stay for the sole purpose of eating at Salvatore's Italian Gardens and staying in the Garden Place Hotel. It was well worth the 6 hour drive and they exceeded our expectations. The service is top-notch, the decor is breathtaking (especially if you appreciate artwork, antiques, and sculpture), and the food is impeccable. You will not find a more tender cut of beef anywhere. Great attention is given to every detail and you will walk away already planning your next visit. Incidently, might we recommend December when the Christmas decorations are in place? Take your camera and dress appropriately, these are pictures to treasure along with the memories! [05 Jul 2001 11:29:00]

GREAT WAY TO SPEND YOUR ANNIVERSARY Since we live only 10 minutes away, this is a special place for us. We often spend the night at The Garden Place Hotel, which is owned by Salvatores, on our anniversary. You can get a "regular" room or one with a jucuzzi. With dinner included, it's approx. $130.00. Not a lot of money for all you get. Let them do all the work. We arrive, settle into our room and then when we are ready, we go to the hotel lobby and are driven to the restaurant. The setting is beautiful and the food is to die for. Even for my husband who is picky. The staff is more than attentive and the chef constantly outdoes himself. For those of you who come from a distance you will not be disappointed! [29 Aug 2001 20:40:39]

No other like it! I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY before leaving to go to college in another state. Since then, I have not had experienced the excellence Salvatore's provides those who eat at the restaurant. It is truly a place everyone should experience at least once. [11 Mar 2002 23:42:56]

What a night My husband and I drove from Jamestown for the Sunday Diamond package. It was the best $100 that we have ever spent. Everything from the room to dinner to breakfast was perfect. I also enjoyed seeing the owners put so much effort into ensuring everything in the hotel and the restaurant were perfect. We are planning another trip to Salvatores very soon and we are bringing friends....we have been recommending it to all of our friends and family. [17 Apr 2002 12:36:14]

Beautiful place We have been going to Salvatores for the past 10-12 years and we love it. The food and service are second to none and you leave feeling like royalty. I also recommend going during the Christmas season as you will not believe the beauty of the decorations. [18 Nov 2002 09:41:00]

Great Food and Accommodations I come from Toronto, Ontario Canada and usually take advantage of the "Sunday Special". For about $160(Canadian) my wife and I get a great meal and a great place to stay. I highly recommend it as the best value around at the highest of quality. [27 Dec 2002 12:49:01]

Best One night getaway!! My husband and I stay at the Garden Place hotel a few times a year (and we only live 10 minutes away from it). Beautiful, elegant, and super clean is how we always find our room. We recommend upgrading your package to the mini-emperor suite!! A small palace.
The dinner is better every time!! [15 Jul 2003 01:35:37]

It's a Mirage at S.I.G. After eating in fine dining establishments in NYC, Chicago, LA, Las Vegas and traveling throughout Italy: Rome, Firenze, Venezia, Naples, Capri plus working in the food and hospitality business I honestly found the experience at Salvatores very middle of the road at best They try hard but do not cut it. A lot of hype, no substance. Any establishment that serves imitation crab with one of its signature dishes should not call itself fine dining. [13 Nov 2004 12:07:03]

Second To None I come from Barrie, Ontario. My wife and I have stayed at the Garden Place Hotel several times over the past years. The service, cleanliness and food is without question second to none. Always looking forward to return as you know what to expect. [18 Jan 2005 15:41:51]
