Do You Have a 5 PM Reservation? Situated between two fast food establishments, Agatina's is determined to retain its classic traditionalism. With anchovies in their Caesar dressing and wine in their sauces, they maintain the heart of Italian cooking. Over several visits we found the staff fussy, not listening to our seating requests in an empty room, refusing a gift certificate that had recently expired, and quite miffed when we had no reservation.
Their sauces are fairly thin, and pasta to meat proportions are high, but they do some nice things with salmon and vegetables. The soups and dressings appear home made.
The most disconcerting thing: Mirrors line the walls, so you inevitably stare at yourself throughout dinner. [22 Dec 2004 09:22:37]

Not What It Used To Be I remember going to Agatina's and having it be a nice night out. Now they take coupons, offer wingdings, cram you in, and make you wait even with a reservation. You don't see the owners anymore; you see their unfriendly daughter who seats you without a smile and barely a hello, and who looks like she barely took the time to get dressed and ready for work.
The food is not what it used to be; it went downhill, along with the servers, who are all very young. Don't order anything sauteed; I think they lost all their good chefs, and have a whole new staff working. I recognized no one, when for years there was no turnover at all. That always tells you something too. [26 Jul 2006 08:45:32]

O.K. Food - Very Poor Service We used to love this place, but have just visited for the last time. When we pay this much to go out, we don't expect to be treated half as poorly. The food and service have been consistent at Agatina's - unfortunately, both have gone straight down hill. [16 Nov 2006 15:38:25]
