Best Indian food in Rochester!!! Thali of India is wonderful. Nice touches like fresh flowers at each table, and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. And the food- incredible! [20 Dec 2003 22:27:27]

If I ever want to eat Indian again, Thali of India is my only is my only place! I came in with a few friends that are very skeptical when it comes to eating food that they are not familiar with, but Thali of India won them over. Hot dogs aren't on my friend's menu anymore! Makhan Singh, chef and owner of Thali, provided one of his signature platters called Chicken Makhani. I wonder if there is any better than his. (I have not found.) Starters consisted of onion bhaji and spinach ghota which are my favorite appetizers. [09 Dec 2006 13:03:41]

Not That Great I love Chinese buffets and Indian food, but I was let down with this buffet. It cost about $9 and I saw maybe 6 or 7 items. Three of these were rice dishes. The meat dish hardly had any meat and was mainly just a sauce! I had to fish to find any meat. The taste was nothing to go crazy about. I think it is pretty expensive for the amount of choice you have. [16 Dec 2007 19:41:11]
