What a great little spot with great wines and perfect food. NYC style with that avant-garde dining sophistication but with no rush or wait! We have eaten there 3 times for dinner and 2 times for lunch.We loved the specials-the service was excellent-the manager ensured our happiness-the decor is exciting yet intimate. The chef understands the marriage of spices and food and the result is sublime!Iwould highly recommend this restaurant as a must if you are anywhere near Hyde Park-it is worth a detour!    [19 May 2005 15:27:31]

I can't live without TWIST!
Everything at Twsist is consistant and wonderful. My boyfreiend and I eat their every week and we still can't get enough. The service is always friendly and outstanding. I have eaten almost everything on the menu and I love all of it. The food is always so consistant and taste as good as it can get. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at - hands down! Food is freshly prepared with creativity.The ambiance is just what I was looking for. A must stop to eat if you are in the NYC/Westchester county area.

Wow, finally, a refreshing new “Twist” to historic Hyde Park!! Chef Ben and his wife Ellen operate a gourmet establishment in a lively, fun and eclectic yet unassuming atmosphere. The food is fabulous: nothing less than you’d expect from the well-respected, local graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Whether it’s the fresh seafood, meat, salads or vegetarian dishes, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. Chef Ben is extremely creative with his choice of flavor combinations and ingredient pairings. It was truly a difficult decision to choose only one item for each course. In quite an unassuming manner, unlike most gourmet caliber eateries, you’ll also like the Chef’s unique A,B,C column menu that allows you the freedom to choose an entrée and accompaniments to your liking. And of course following your dinner, make sure to save room for some outrageous desserts. Twist was recommended to me by friends and it more than lived up to my expectations.I have since eaten at least ten meals there.The dining room is open and warm, and I loved sitting at the counter and watching the talented and creative chef and his staff in action. Service was prompt but not rushed, staff friendly and attentive but not hovering.Perfect for a special celebration or for weeknight dinners when you want to relax and be certain you will get a healthful as well as inspiring meal.    [08 May 2006 01:28:28]
