A cozy restaurant seated at the base of Collegetown, Miyake serves sushi as well as a wide range of Japanese dishes that extend beyond the typical tempura and teriyake. While the restaurant accomodates large groups, the deep floorplan suits small groups best. Small tables and a casual but classy atmosphere make Miyake perfect for an intimate date.

gets the craving down for a price
Steer clear of the hamachi and even the simple tuna. The salmon and the super white tuna were delicious.

Miyake = Best Sushi in Ithaca
I've been to Plum Tree, Little Tokyo, Kyushu and Miyake. Japanese/Korean cuisine does not fail to disappoint. Product quality is superb.

Service can be slow during busy hours after 9pm on weekend nights, but dinner hour provides exemplary quality food. The servers are always friendly and knowledgeable, so you owe it to yourself to try this at least once.

Recommend the Dragon, Shogun, or Crazy Boy Rolls, otherwise the Nabeyaki Udon or Beef Negimaki Bento Box for more traditional fare.    [27 Aug 2006 03:28:10]
