Traditional Irish Pub I have never had a bad meal here. Good choices on the menu in addition to regular Irish pub fare. All at very reasonable prices. Friendly employees. Very good overall service.
Atmosphere is Irish pub. []

Great Place We stumbled by after watching a movie at a nearby theater. We ate at the bar as "Monday night football" was on the TVs. My wife orderded the fish and chips while I stuck to the football special .20 cent wings. After finishing our food we stayed longer than planned (thank you Rob) and had a ball of a time.
Next time we're skipping the movies. [14 Jan 2005 03:52:29]

Good Food and Drink Very good quality on the standard menu except for the ribs, which are the best I have ever tasted. Excellent specials and good company. [28 Feb 2006 20:47:01]

Great Irish Food It is sometimes hard to please me when it comes to Irish places. I guess I am just spoiled.
Connoly Station is a pleasure. Good food and people at fair prices. You will not find any better in the area. [16 Dec 2006 14:09:25]

Watered-Down Drinks Do not go for drinks, either before or after movies. If you must enter, make sure it's beer (from a bottle) that you order.
It's a shame. [22 Mar 2007 13:27:33]

A Small-Town Irish Connolly Station fits in perfectly with Malverne's small-town atmosphere. Frequented by local folks as well as those who follow the Irish bands that appear there. Great place for everything from a pint of Guiness to an excellent meal. Proprietor Gerry Hughes knows the regulars and makes everybody feel at home. Don't miss this great spot! [10 Mar 2008 03:56:12]

Good Music/Bad Food We visit Connolly Station for the music, especially The Black Velvet Band.
Eat before you go. Steak tidbits makes "Steakums" taste great. Ordered med-rare and got well-done meat chips and the garlic bread was hard as a rock. The steak knife wasn't cutting it, literally. My teeth started to hurt. It was sent back and the new order was just as bad as the first. To satiate my hunger, I opted for what should be-"they can't screw this up" order of mozzarella sticks. The darkest brown sticks I've ever seen. At least the marinara killed the flavor after I peeled the breading off. The fish and chips arrived just as brown as the mozz sticks. After biting thru the greasy shell, the fish was tasty. Wings-undercooked, enough said for that.
This is not the first time we've been dissatisfied, but keep crossing our fingers.
The waitress made no apologies or concessions, not even a beer on the house.
At least,The Black Velvet Band was great. [14 Jul 2008 01:45:41]
