Sublime American cusine with Global accents The Sterling Inn is one of the best new restaurants in New York. The dining room is elegant Victorian style with exposed brick and mahogany bar. The service is superb and friendly. The food is the highlight of this chef/owner operated restaurant is the sublime cuisine created by chef Sterling, only using the finest and freshest ingredients available. The menu is seasonal, with Global accents, ie. Lobster borsht, with pearls of orange blossom gelee' and Indian spices. The Rack of lamb, with buttery tender meat, with chickpea stew with Morrocan spices to accent the dish and the lamb and Jack cheese quesadilla and creativity and fun to the dish. The mac n cheese with truffle is quite the luxurious dish you alwasy looked for as a kid, you keep wanting more. The desserts all made by chef Sterling are some of the best I have tasted in a long time. Like the warm date pudding with Jack Daniels carmel, It's richness is very seductive, as the chef professes it took three years and definately worth the wait. When it comes to creativity the chef infuses beets into his desserts, the beet and orange creamsicle. [03 Jul 2006 23:05:04]

The Best of Westchester! This restaurant has to be one of the best. The food is at the top of the list for ceativity and quality. The staff is always on the mark and warm. It is surprising it didn't make the top 10 list in 2008. [11 Feb 2008 19:32:31]

The Best Restaurant You Never Heard Of Every time we eat here, we wonder why this place is not packed all the time. The restaurant is kid friendly. The food is superb and very interesting (i.e. exotic). Great hand-made pastas and excellent steaks. The desserts top off the list: the cool ice cream sandwich and great ice creams.
