Traditional Northern Italian Cuisine (Venetian) at its finest. Wild Mushroom Raviolis with the Porcini Cream Sauce is outstanding.Butternut Squash Tortelloni are exquisite.Seared Duck with Cassis and Currants is also great.I could list the whole menu here, but everything is homemade and excellent. The dining room is very pretty. Incredible I have eaten at so many restaurants in NY over the years wining and dining clients. Nothing comes close to the quality of the food at Arqua. It's a sublime experience every time. The seared scallops over wild mushroom risotto is to die for, as are the homemade pastas like Matonella (artichoke lasagna made with bechmele), butternut ravioli, mushroom ravioli...the duck is perfect, the Fish stew is authentic Venetian. I could go on and on. Oh yeah, their carpaccio is the best I've had too. [22 Jul 2005 19:11:18]

Arqua Restaurant Food was generally excellent - two soup specials (butternut squash, tomato) and the rolled chicken/prosciutto/cheese/mushroom special were fantastic. Creme brulee was NOT good - no flavor - I guess you should not order French dessert in an Italian restaurant! Service was fine. Restaurant is small and quiet - at least at 7:00 on a Monday night. Bad dining experience!!! The specials should not be more than the highest priced entry on the menu and the wait staff should state the price. The food was served two at time and we had to wait for four of the dishes while two diners had theirs. The dishes wasn't hot, on the cold side. Portions were small and extremely overpriced. The service was marginal. [01 Oct 2006 00:02:34]
