I went there with my girlfriend and a friend of mine visiting from out of town.

I ordered a veal dish that I cannot remember the name of. It was topped with so many diced vegetables that I thought thats all I was getting. Underneath the vegetables was this small piece of veal. The dish tasted good, however it was a bit misleading.

My girlfriend ordered a simple penne with marinara dish. The pasta was undercooked and the sauce was watery.

My friend ordered a margherita pizza and he said it was very good. He had no complaints.

The decor was pretty good. It was a bit dark, but overall it was decent.    [27 Jan 2003 17:01:16]

Took a friend there...my truffle veggie pasta dish was excellent but my friend's shrimp and artichoke dish in tomato sauce was extremely acidic and salty-so much so that he couldn't eat more than half. My wine was great- his drink was very weak. Ah well. Even if only half the food was good the atmosphere is groovy-chic and lighting excellent if you are a woman in your late thirties dating a man who is a little too young for you.    [25 Dec 2003 21:37:26]

Comforting
After a depressing day of shopping this was a delightful find. My niece had a margherita pizza which was delicious. I had a spinach salad that was a little simple, but good. Great, friendly service. Reasonable prices. Next time in New York will definitely go again.    [27 Apr 2005 15:17:05]

After hours of treading all over Manhattan with my father, we turned to SoHo for a "healthy" restaurant. No sooner did we find Boom. My father's drink if tonic and bitters "was perfect" (he's very picky) and his fritatta was outstanding. I had a turkey sandwich with red roasted peppers, olives, goat cheese...delicious. Both dishes were accompanied by roasted potatoes, which were cooked perfectly without being greasy, as well as a mesuclin green salad, which ended up just being a few whispy pieces of lettuce, smaller than a deck of cards ( that was my only complaint) Also the olive oil that was given to us at the beginning with the bread had to have been the best olive oil i've ever tasted....it was just delicious. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable SoHo lunch.    [10 Apr 2007 21:12:36]
