Best Burgers My name is David, I'm from Munich, Germany. I am in NYC quite often for business purposes and one MUST DO for me every time I come over to this lovely city is dinner at Broom Street Bar. They undoubtly serve the best burgers I've eaten not only in NYC. Great traditional athmosphere, nice guests and staff and a very comfortable, familiar style, off all these "hip" locations. It's the atmosphere I agree with David (Munich's a great place to visit too, by the way). As Londoners and NY lovers, we cross the pond often. Broome Street Bar is a 'must do'. It's small, but big enough to join the raucous crowd at the bar, or sit by the window and watch the deluded box tickers head for the Soho Grand to be treated like unwelcome intuders. The food is so-so, and fairly priced. You certainly won't starve. The best thing there isn't on the menu. It is the buzz of honest enjoyment and anti- pretention. It's what Soho won't be for much longer. [17 Feb 2004 05:55:30]
