Description

Cafe de Paris is a small authentic french bistro, established in 1981 ans still operated by the same owners.
The specialty: the "Entrecote Cafe de Paris" is an exclusive recipe from the owner who makes the charolaise sauce himself. For over 20 years faithful gourmets have enjoyed this special dish. The atmophere is cosy, friendly and very french: french music, french staff, french chef, french owners. Cafe de Paris is now open for brunch on sunday. The restaurant provides also an outdoor dining on the terrace on 49th street in spring, summer and fall.

One Dish - Delish!
When I first started going to Cafe de Paris, they only had one dish on the menu: Entrecote. In the intervening years, they have added some other items, but the Entrecote remains my favorite -- a beautifully cooked flank steak served with a herb green sauce (their secret recipe) and all of the BEST french fries in New York City that you can eat. The ambiance is very Paris Cafe -- nothing too fancy or heavy. Oh, and save room for desert -- my favorite is the raspberry cream brulee...    [29 Oct 2003 14:30:48]
