Best Regular slice in Manhattan For just a "regular" slice, this is the best I've gotten in Manhattan. All the pizza is excellent, and the pasta specials are great, too.
The atmosphere is also lots of fun - a classic New York Italian father/son team run the place, working together with a team of Hispanics. They all give each other a hard time, but you get the feeling that everyone is in on the joke. And everyone takes pride in taking great care of the customers. [14 Jul 2004 11:30:20]

More than a Slice There is a pizza place every couple of blocks in NYC. Maffei stands out with extensive choices of entrees for lunch and pizza better than most other places. With choices like cavatelli bolognese, shrimp parmigiana, and chicken marsala in addition pizza and sandwiches the only thing missing are enough seats. Limited standing room and about 10 stools along a counter, makes taking out or getting delivery for work or home inviting. If you decide to take your chances finding counter space, you will find the place friendly and lively. [24 Oct 2004 13:29:10]
