Nice, hip, moderately priced French restaurant in the East Village Leon is a really good spot to go to to just chill with friends or maybe to go on a very casual date with someone. The food is good, decently priced, and varied. It has a very youthful feeling to it, so don't be surprised if one of the restauranteurs start playing bongoes and start singing or something. The service is nice, though not necessarily very prompt. The decor is great. It has a very retroey, French, Le Marais type of feel to it with random french posters and artworks on the wall. The lighting is really nice, I noticed also. If you're looking for a relaxed place to go eat and have some drinks with a good friend or a small group of friends, Leon is the place to go. It's not expensive either... [28 Aug 2003 15:07:11]
