I have gone to the Old Mill every summer since I was born during the family vacation to Big Moose Lake, and I love everything about it! The food is always wonderful, and the family-style serving of soup and salad make it such a comfortable place to bring friends and family. My cousin and I had the delight of our summer at the Old Mill restaurant in Old Forge New York...they serve a beef barley soup that is out of this world, the waitress said they were famous for it and so we ordered it....I'm wondering now if they sell it by the gallon, if you go have the soup, you won't regret it.    [07 Sep 2005 04:34:28]

Adirondack splendor
My Family has been going to the Old Mill for generations. My grandmother, mother and myself and now my children. We always stop when in Old Forge to grab one of the most wonderful Long Island duck in Cherry sauce. This restaurant is very family friendly yet elegant enough for you and some one dear.
