Could this be the best sub shop in the US?
Probably not, but it's darned close! I've never gone wrong with anything here, except maybe the beef on Wick, which I think is too salty. My favs? Chicken salad, and the Texas Hot Cheeseburger (which is still a sub)    [07 Dec 2003 18:03:08]

Still The Best Subs!!!!
This is still the best place for real subs. It was great back in the early 60's and after a recent trip to visit my Alma Mater, the still family owned Oswego Sub Shop is tops. I do miss Pops though!!! Bill, sorry you weren't there on my last visit.    [27 Feb 2004 10:38:21]

The Sub Shop is DEFINITELY one of the best places in CNY... being from Buffalo, I'm quite partial to John and Mary's, but the Sub Shop is my fave out here! Cheeseburger subs are amazing..as are the Cappicola subs..    [22 Apr 2004 20:26:11]

I grew up
I grew up in Oswego and lived off a steady diet from "The Sub Shop". Klinger from M*A*S*H* and his "Paco's Hungarian hots is a close macth. I'm Stuck way out here in L.A. and I've not yet found anything that can even compare to the subs I used to get growing up in Oswego. If they freeze and send, please let me know.

Don't bother asking for your sub toasted unless you want to catch some additude. I don't have an extention in my room. They insist on using the room phone extension. I told the girl that I would wait in the lobby for the sub guy...no way wouldn't work. They tell me everytime I order that it will be a 45 minute wait. How long does it take to make a sub? Not only does it take LONGER Than 45 minutes sometimes they never come at all. If ANY other sub place took plus-plan I would order there in a second.    [31 Oct 2005 23:33:32]

Overrated
I'm sorry to refute all the positive reviews, but I must. The Oswego Sub Shop doesn't make bad subs, but they are not worth raving over. Honestly, the subs are just not worth the cost. Also, I have had many experiences at Sub Shop where they have messed up an order and are not very customer friendly when you call them out on it.    [21 Feb 2007 15:04:10]
