Bad Food
I was expecting to eat some good Italian food after hearing all the good reviews, but came away with a different experience. The food was not any better than Olive Garden and the wait was really long, the service was slow, and the owner acted quite rudely in front of all the customers. I would not go there again. Yellow Mango
We were in Rochester for a college visit to RIT, and haven't had authentic Italian in a while and decided on Bacco's based on their menu, which we saw at the hotel. We had two appetizers crostini with calamari and shrimp, salmon and capers) and 2 pasta dishes (lobster ravioli, and linguini pescatore (with seafood). The food was very tasty, seasoned authentically, the waiter was very professional, attentive and helpful, and the owner came to the table several times to make sure we were getting what we wanted. Italians Living in the South
Very Rude
My husband and I were going to go to dinner there and had made reservations. My daughter ended up getting sick so we stayed home and I forgot to cancel my dinner reservations. The hostess called me at home 30 minutes past our reservation and was very rude on the phone. I started to apologize for not canceling and she interrupted me saying she could have given the table away five times over, which is hard to believe. Taking care of my family is more important than remembering to cancel a dinner reservation. There is no need to be rude! I will never set foot in that place! [10 Oct 2006 10:23:55]

Gosh - The other reviews are so weird. My review on another site was that it offered a contrast to the corporate Italian restaurants. And, tonight, the people were so nice.
