Real Old Fashioned Homecooked foods including Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Foods range from farm type breakfasts to breakfast specialties like scrambles, sausage scrapple, stuffed french toast, Real Belgian Waffles, and breakfast platters. Lunch menu has anything from soup and salad, award winning chili, over 40 sandwiches, fresh fruits and lunch platters. (Free delivery to area businesses as well 11am to 2pm) Dinners are all homemade and fresh, with a large selection that changes daily. Hard to find homecooked items like stuffed peppers, Chicken Paprikash, Secret Beer Batter Fish, Baked Haddock, Prime Rib, Steaks, Real Roast Turkey, Pork, Ham and Beef, Fresh Lake Erie Walleye and Perch, BBQ St.Louis style Ribs and Pasta Dishes are among the few great foods you will find here.
There are 3 dining areas available from the old fashioned booth and stool type dining area, a full dining room, and a banquet room for private parties and more dining. The atmosphere is is family casual and has both smoking and non-smoking area's. This restaurant sports an Old fashioned 50's diner type atmosphere in a historic downtown setting.
Food cost is comparable to most family style restaurants but the big difference is the food is much better because it is REAL homecooked food, NOT FROZEN like most restaurants use. All foods are made fresh daily! There are daily specials which change every day and a family can eat here very reasonably and will never leave hungry with the large portions you get. All baked goods such as Real Homemade Old Fashioned Pies, Cookies, Cakes, Cinnamon Rolls, are also among the wonderful desserts you will get here. A wide range of ice cream and ice cream desserts from soft serve to old fashioned homemade hard hand dip ice creams to specialty and famous items like the Boston Shake and Brownie Sunday delight are among the few deserts you can't get homemade anywhere else.

Real Homecooked Food in an Old Fashioned 50's Diner!
Great place to eat, They Have the Best Home Cooked Food Ive Had. The food is Really Real Home-cooked food, not frozen like you get at other places. The portions are awesome, I couldn't believe how much food I was given. It wasn't even possible to eat it all. Prices are very good as well, in fact, probably low for the amount of food given. It is a Little hard to find because it is kinda hidden behind some other buildings downtown Alliance, but well worth the trip. Ask Anyone and they can tell you how to get there, it is very well known and has been there for 65 years. Very Very Clean restaurant, and they have a Huge Menu with a wide variety of Great food from Breakfast to Dinner. Lots of Specialty Items as well. Breakfast is served ALL DAY, this is great! Whether your driving through Alliance or making a special trip to go to Shaffers, I highly recommend Stopping here to Eat. You will find it WELL worth the drive, no matter where you are from. If you have trouble finding it, Ask anyone, I was amazed how popular the place was.
