YOU HAVE TO TRY BUBBA'S!
I happened to be in the Cleveland area and heard the former Detroit Lion/Cleveland Brown Al "Bubba" Baker had opened a new restaurant in Avon.
Having been a fan of his outstanding play and sauces for many years, I thought we would give the restaurant a try.
The food was amazing. I had a Delmonico steak that was out of this world and cooked to "rare" perfection. My husband chose the ribs. They brought him some pulled pork just to sample and both were also as fantastic as my steak. Waitress was highly knowledgeable and friendly.
Can't say enough about the ambiance, the construction was very clean and classy. The decor; tasteful groupings of autographed sports memorabilia. Not cheesy sports "junk" just thrown on to the wall, nice stuff finely placed. I have to travel to Cleveland from Detroit often and this place will be one that I stop at every time!

I don't know how many people knew that the building used to be a feed store for the local farmers. I can remember my grandfather taking me with him when he would go. Now all these years later, it is still a "Feed" store. Only WE are the ones being fed. Let me tell you, you won't walk out of there hungry either.
We went on a recommendation and it was everything we were told it was and more. The food, service, and atmosphere were to perfection. I have been telling everyone I know that it is the best rib place ever! I ordered the prime rib and it was like cutting butter. My husband had a half-stack of ribs and they were very meaty and very filling! And believe me, if HE liked them, they were good! You have to try it!    [09 Oct 2006 08:47:26]

BIG RIBS AND BIG HEARTED TOO!!!
Al Bubba Baker and the whole family are a CLASS ACT all the way. I had the privilege and honor to be one of the several volunteers Christmas Day to help assist in serving around 100 of those who are less fortunate then ourselves receive a complete meal of delicious barbeque ribs,bbq chicken,coleslaw,and those awesome baked beans, and then a variety of desserts and beverages all courteous of Al,Sabrina,Britani,& James.I also received a delicious plate of everything and I definitely will be back for more!!! Not being a real fan of ribs (can take them or leave them) BubbaQ's makes me want to change my mind/attitude now that I have had the REAL DEAL!!!    [27 Dec 2006 05:42:51]
