Description

This very popular pizza shop with a very loyal following is located near OSU's campus. The crust does not have egg or milk, thus a vegan can order a cheeseless pizza. Also try pasta, subs, salads. No children's menu. You can choose from a thick crust (Chicago-Style) OR thinner crust (NY Style). Pizza sizes vary from personal to the huge "Buckeye" party pizza. Allow plenty of prep time (30-40 minutes) for pizzas made-to-order in a pizza place that is usually very busy.

When I went to Ohio State, my friends and I loved ordering Adriatico's! If it was offered at a club meeting, the attendance was much higher than for other pizzas. Now that I live in California, I really miss their pizza. Nothing compares to their crust and spicy sauce.    [22 May 2004 13:02:46]

The thick crust is not a NY-style pizza. They do offer a thinner crust pizza, but still, it isn't the thinnest. About the thick pizza, because I'm not a fan of the thinner crust here....You will eat this pizza because you are searching for something unique. It must be eaten at the restaurant as soon as it comes out of the oven. Taking it home or eating it cold is not the same. I agree, you will wait 30-40 minutes for the pizza, but I think it is worth it. This pizza is to the point where one can become addicted.    [22 May 2004 13:08:19]

Overrated
Adriatico's is a decent pizza on campus but whenever you bring up pizza around here it seems like always the first place people take about is Adriatico's. The place has decent pizza but I can name 3 other places right off the top of my head who have better. Besides the service at Adriatico's is sub par at best.    [21 Jan 2007 01:06:20]

Adriatico's Is The BEST
I worked at OSU for two years and accomplished two things. I adopted Columbus as my adopted hometown and learned that Adriatico's is the best pizza in the world. I now make a trip from the Cleveland area a few times a year to sit there and eat some of a Buckeye pizza and bring the rest home for lunches the rest of the week. Even leftover Adriatico's is better than fresh from anyone else. The best...and worth the 3 hour drive each way!    [30 May 2007 10:46:11]

Thick crust means thick dough...hence the thick. They make a thin crust too, and the waitress' all ask if you would like it thick or thin. the headline to say it is vegan friendly is a good thing. Many restaurants throw eggs in for added texture and to know that this one does not is a booster.    [17 Jul 2007 14:13:12]
