Get it in writing!
I was planning to have my reception here until my fiance was informed that he had to go away with the marine corps. Our dream wedding would have to be cancelled. I looked over all the paper work and discovered there was nothing on return policy. I then called and was told there shouldn't be a problem on getting the room fee money returned "I wouldn't be using the room" but I had to call back and speak with Elka about the details. Later that day I spoke with her and was told no refunds! She was sorry she most have forgotten to give me the paper that said no refunds, and that the $200 I gave her was deposit not room fee like she explained 2 months ago . I would never have picked this place if I knew I had to pay a deposit of $200 that wouldn't go towards the bill a $200 room fee on top of my original bill. $200 later I learned my lesson get everything in writing and ask a lot of questions and the biggest lesson don't deal with shady people.    [14 Dec 2006 12:27:32]
