It is a Requirement to eat here
I have never had such perfect turkey. Tender, juicy and full of flavor. The gravy is correct - meaning it works without flaw. The baked chiken is wonderful but unecessary in the face of the turkey. The bread is just as it should be. The pies were almost perfect - I should have had them warm it up a bit.

The only downside is their cranberry sauce comes right out of the can - too bad, I imagine if these people wante to they could produce a sauce worthy of thier turkey.

If you are anywhere within a fifty mile radius and want real homestyle food - this is THE place.    [17 Oct 2005 10:20:44]

A Family Tradition
As a family that has real estate in Andover, Ohio, anytime we are up in that area, we make the trip to Middlefield. The trip is not complete with out Mary Yoder's. Good food, full of flavor and great portions, great service, if you are lucky a young Amish lady will attend to your needs. And wonderful quilts all around, with a gift shoppe, it completes the picture of country. I would only warn of two things, TOUR BUSES and Cash. If you see a tour bus I am sad to say, don't go in. I waited ,with two childern in the 2's for over an hour to sit down, and then I had to wait more than 45 mins to PAY. The servers were in a rush and it was not the same easy going kinda place that we have come to know and love. I also recommend to have cash, not plastic, it will make things easier and FASTER. The prices are pretty good for the food and the gift shop has intresting area crafts and Amish goods. Don't forget to take home a pie.....They are the best!!!!!    [19 Jun 2006 21:13:55]

The Amish Cracker Barrel
This place is the best stop for a decent meal in Middlefield. Some of the local eat here, but watch out for those tour buses...good breakfast!    [22 Aug 2006 12:27:21]
