Too Chinoise (New name, new location) - Oberlin OnLine, By John Byrne '03; While the name may seem befuddling, Tooo Chinoise is really the “new” restaurant in town, owned and operated by Jia Wei, the same person who brought you Weia Teia and the old Mandarin. Tooo Chinoise is a combination of the two: a mid-level restaurant with fine food at more reasonable prices. Dinner entrees start at eight dollars, and lunch plates at five. Operating in Weia Teia’s former location, this Chinese restaurant keeps the old look while introducing a classier atmosphere for Asian-influenced dining. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and appetizers, to go around. - suggest change

:) Compared to other Chinese restaurants, I was quite impressed with Tooo Chinoise. The food tasted cleaner than most of the other Chinese American foods that I had, and the Chinese green tea they served was better than most I had. Service is superb ; the waiter and waitress were always very helpful in explaining the dishes. [24 Mar 2005 00:54:42]

So-so generic Asian cuisine They harass their waitresses and treat their Mexican workers like plebians. Food is mildly interesting at best. Usually excessive in oil, sugar, and other cellulose inducing chemicals. If you want to have a bland crappy meal that will also be sure to give you heartburn, then Tooo is your place. Also the water glasses are WAY too sylish and don't have enough water in them. What gives? [28 Apr 2007 20:49:10]

Weird Too Chinese is it. There sesame tofu is better than expected once you get used to the taste. Their soups are bad. I really like the chive cake, even thoughg it is weird. They treat their wait staff poorly, but that is America! Nowhere else in Oberlin is any better. Any who will only eat there only if starving. Rather eat at home..but will eat there if too lazy.
