Diary QueenFranchised restaurant part of an international chain. While serving desserts is their main business, they also offer sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken baskets and other entrees. Blizzards (frozen flavor treats with your choice of candy or flavor mixed in) are a popular item as are the sundaes and other choices.

Inconsistent quality
One of my problems with DQ (and this one in particular) is the inconsistent quality. I've been to DQs (and the one in Reynoldsburg is a good example) where the quality is always excellent. Thick shakes and no surprises in the entrees. The one in Pickerington sometimes has excellent quality and at other times seems to fall apart from the others. Even the frozen treats are inconsistent when they are having problems with the machines or demand. An example of inconsistent quality would be heels of the bread served in the baskets or extremely thin shakes that are more like milk than a shake. I've had burgers that are the best in the city and other times taste like they were rewarmed or microwaved. This is still one of my favorite fast food places, just wishing for more consistent quality! The service is also usually high quality, however there have been times when they are non-responsive or don't handle the daily specials properly at the register. [14 Mar 2004 16:26:16]

Hot Sunday Meal and Dessert
Stopped in the Pickerington DQ for a hot meal and cool dessert. Ordered the following:
Chicken Basket - The chicken was great, the fries hot and gravy/bread were also fine, only problem was one of the four pieces of chicken strips was about 1/3 the others . . they should have thrown that in for free.
Chocolate Milk Shake - Great shake, however always need to pay extra for extra thick.
Hot Fudge Sundae - Nice sundae!
Pecan Pralines Parfait - Great, the carmel was a bit strong
Hot Dog plain - Just fine!
Super Dog / chili - Great and really messy :)
Small Twist Cone - Perfect!

Control the employee behavior (event of Friday, June 18)
An elderly woman and another woman (both employees) were yelling at each other, during the lunch hour over minor issues like the location of the ketchup. This was not just loud voices, it was actual yelling. Service was slow, perhaps they should be focused on the service. Food was usual, however not the first time the employees have acted out in front of customers. [18 Jun 2004 17:50:06]

The Food there is fantastic BUT the sweets have a lot of sugar, fat, fat calories, and calories. Maybe you can cut all of those things but make the food tast great too. Make the food healther and good to eat.
