Description
Davinci's Market & Hershey's Ice Cream offers pizza, pasta, panini and Hershey's brand ice cream. Family atmosphere for dining, dessert or parties. The party room seats 25 to 30. The restaurant also has a game room.
Da Vinci’s Market is a charming restaurant tucked into a strip mall in Pickerington. Customers can get carryout or dine in and enjoy a buffet that offers pizza, pasta and salads, among other items. The Caesar salad ($4.49 or $5.99) features crisp romaine lettuce, large croutons, Parmesan cheese and real bacon pieces. The dressing is creamy, but with a vinaigrette like tanginess that is unusual and good. The fresh vegetables in the vegetable panini ($4.69) make it satisfying. The bread, with golden grill marks, is stuffed with red and green peppers, banana peppers, black olives, mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes and lettuce, all pressed together with melted provolone cheese. The menu mentioned a pesto mayonnaise but I didn’t taste it. The bread became soggy on the ride home, but the sandwich was still good. The pizza ($3.49 to $19.99, depending on toppings and sizes) is excellent, and the array of sizes means there’s a pie perfect for any appetite. The simple and light tomato based sauce has a touch of sweetness, the dough is chewy with a good bite and a generous amount of cheese bubbles on top. The calzone ($3.49 to $7.09), is good, too. Ours came layered with cheese, sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms and banana peppers. It is not overly stuffed but filling enough. The baked penne pasta ($5.49) comes with one roll on the side and features the restaurant’s good tomato sauce covering perfectly cooked penne. It’s loaded with melted mozzarella and provolone, broiled on top, and has two meatballs tucked on the side. The meatballs are flavorful, but small. Be sure to order extra. The chicken linguini ($5.99) comes topped with a generous portion of tasty, thin chicken slices, coated with Italian spices. The whole dish is topped with shredded Parmesan cheese, and comes with a roll on the side. — Heather Brannon For The Dispatch

Great Pizza and Ice Cream DaVinci's Market wins based on great pizza and the attached Hershey brand hand dipped ice cream shop. The pizza cut into wedges has a hand tossed crust, spicy (but not too spicy) sauce and fresh ingredients. The pizza is oddly addictive, so be sure to order the next size up from your usual order at other places. We sometimes eat half a 14" pizza at another place, the 15" (a "medium") from Davinci's Market was barely enough . Can't seem to figure out if it is something in the crust or the sauce that we like so much. What also surprised me was the number of party 24" diameter pizzas going out the door.
For a different type of salad, try the antipasta salad. It has an unusual number of fresh ingredients from several cold cuts, provolone cheese and many types of vegetables on a thin bed of greens. The vegetables include fresh spinach, broccoli, purple onions, green peppers, bannana peppers, roma tomatoes sliced, black olives, a purple color leafy lettuce and iceberg lettuce. The variety was so great that we were tempted to place it on yet another bed of lettuce. The large salad was around $6.
As for the buffet bar, even at the best time on a Friday evening the selection was limited. There was perhaps a dozen slices of pizza of several choices. We were there between dinner and ice cream for an hour during which time most of the pizza slices did not move. The salad selection appears to be fresh, but still limited compared to other buffets. Not to fault this family run business, only the very large restaurants with many customers can manage a great buffet. The entrees and made to order pizza hot out of the oven are my recommendation.
While we waited for our pizza, the game room provided entertainment for the children. It is small, but there is a nice variety for all ages.
Through a large open arch is the Hershey brand ice cream shop, serving up hand dipped ice cream with many flavors to choose from including an award winning chocolate ice cream.
The wait staff was helpful, a mix of family and what appears to be hired teenagers. The teen who took our pizza order was very helpful and cheerful.
Decor is dark walls and furnishings with multiple rooms in the main restaurant. Located in a new shopping center, the kitchen is open to the dining area and everything is very clean. Great family atmosphere.
All in all a great experience and my family will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. [04 Jul 2005 00:58:52]

GREAT FOOD I have been to Davinci's a few times now, and I am in love with the place. I would suggest a lower price on the buffet though. [08 Jun 2005 20:08:57]

AWESOME PLACE TO DINE Davinci's is a great place to dine with your family. Although I do agree with the previous post about the cost of the buffet. The 3 times I have ordered the buffet, there was only half a pepperoni pizza, and some dried up sandwiches available. It was like I paid almost 7 dollars for a salad bar. I suggest ordering your food from the menu--it's so fresh and a much better deal. Keep up the good work, Davinci’s! [16 Jun 2005 00:41:30]

NO PROBLEM HERE I have been to Davinci's several times now and I don't have a problem with the price, due to the fact that your drink is included. With free refills. The buffet is very good, the only time I seen a small variety on the buffet was on a late afternoon when the buffet was ready to close. [02 Jul 2005 21:13:27]

Best pizza AND best service ANYWHERE! We ate here once, and haven't stopped coming back. We've brought our friends, our family, and ourselves back here several times a week. We can't decide if it's the service or the pizza that keeps us coming back for more! [28 Jul 2005 21:55:30]

Amazing Delivery Service! My family is a huge fan of Davinci's Market. We partake in their buffet at least once per week, but last week we decided to give their delivery service a try, and I was just amazed! Our 24 inch pizza was at our door in 27 minutes, and was piping hot! You should have seen the steam rolling off that pizza. The delivery guy was super nice, and he even entertained my kids while I wrote the check for him. [26 Aug 2005 09:25:22]

Nice Stop Had the buffet $6.99 included soup (chicken noodle & vegetable); 3 types of lettuce salads (including "spring greens"); calzone (cheese); pizzas (cheese, pepperoni, sausage and vegetable [good]); and pastas (spaghetti and penne) with marinara or alfredo sauce
Competes favorably with the "big buffet" on Rt. 256! Don't expect a lot of meat! Added bonus, drinks are included! [04 Apr 2007 11:28:59]
