Description

Graeter's Ice Cream

The chain was founded in 1870 by the Graeter family starting out in Cincinnati, Ohio. This particular ice cream shop offers inside sit-down, porch seating and patio. They also have an ice cream case for carry-out and a drive-thru order window. Brightly lit inside often the walls display the art work of local children. Expect long lines in the summertime, however the workers behind the counter service the customers quickly. A single dip is usually a generous serving of their hand-dipped ice cream. They also offer frozen yogurts. Located on Rt. 256 (Hill Rd N) several blocks south of the Marcus Theater complex.

Graeter's serves great hand-dipped ice cream in your choice of cones as well as other ice cream treats. Try the chocolate milk shake with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate chips in some of the ice creams are a bit too big for my tastes (I like the smaller chips).    [15 Mar 2004 12:26:49]
