However, the last 2 times they have not served me the meal that I ordered. I might also add, he never wrote anything down when he took our order. I ordered the filet steak special w/the crab bake, baked potato and a salad. We ordered our drinks, got our salad (he forgot the bread, I had to ask) About 10 minutes had gone by and the waiter came back and said something about the lobster stuffing was taking a little longer than expected - neither my husband nor myself had ordered anything w/lobster and I told him that. All of a sudden here comes my husbands Filet Oskar, and my meal, a sirloin steak w/shrimp and lobster stuffing. Not at all what I ordered. The waiter said the kitchen screwed up and they were making me a crab bake for nothing. I had also asked for no "hot rub" on my FILET steak and the sirloin was so spicy I could not eat it. They did apologize and deducted the whole price of my meal, which was fine, but - I still would rather just get what I ordered and paid for it. The leftovers however did make a good lunch for my husband the next day. This was the second time in the same Longhorn that this has happened to my meal. I'm pretty easy to get along with but this is beginning to irritate me. We like the atmosphere and the food, but I think the problem is "they don't write the order down", no one, when they get busy can remember all those orders and are bound to get something wrong. The last time it was "they keyed the order in wrong," I ordered a shrimp skewer and got scallops instead. My husband loves your steaks, we buy only Filets for home, he likes your seasoning, and it's little too warm for me so I usually ask to just use butter, salt and pepper. We will still frequent your restaurant but I will be very firm next time and not accept anything other than what I ordered. The waiter (who was also the bartender) also was a little put out that I tipped him only 20% on the balance after the deduction for the meal instead of a percentage of the total bill before deduct. Completely different attitude. Kevin was very displeased with me, I think he was lucky to get what he did!! Thank you for listening to my story. Hopefully this input will help somewhere down the line. [03 May 2006 09:49:04] Not bad! Not bad at all!! Yummy Chowder
