Steak 'n Shake

One of a national chain focusing on Steakburgers and Milk Shakes made from real ice cream. Also on the menu are sandwich melts, salads, pasta, soups 'n sides and chili. The chain founded in 1934 still focuses on a classical look in the restaurant and for the staff. They also have a kid's menu and a breakfast menu.

Juicy Steakburgers
When it comes to thin steakburgers stacked double, Steak 'n Shake is the best place. The milkshakes are made with hand dipped ice cream and topped with whipped cream and a cherry much like days past. Not the pricing of fast food, however a nice change from the less expensive places. Booths and tables for inside dining or carry out from the counter or drive-thru. I also like the pasta dishes. Steak n Shake Fraud
We stopped for lunch. Order double cheese burgers. What we got was inedible. The "burger" was so paper thin and tasted as if it had been deep fried rather than cooked in a normal fashion. We find that the commercials way over compliment what is truly served and this is the common feeling among people we have spoken with. Not only would I never go there again, I will strongly recommend against it to anyone who asks.    [08 Aug 2006 20:26:14]

Hambrger way to thin
I was shocked when I got my usual order, and had a single cheeseburger that was so thin it was hard to believe. The bun was also cold, and most of the thin strip of burger was half off the bun. I've been going there for years and hope to never get another burger in that sad shape again.    [30 Nov 2006 15:42:41]
