If you like NY style pizza, this place is good!
My wife is from New York and we have searched all over central Ohio for NY style pizza without any luck, until tonight. The pizza at Benvenuto Amici is truly like NY style pizza. The crust was a little crispy and thin, and the cheese tasted like we were in Brooklyn! We had to fold it in half, just like in NY, to keep the juices in place on the slice. We also had the spinach and proscuitto pasta (bow-tie) and it was also extremely tasty! The ambiance was simple, yet, enjoyable. I was a little disappointed in the 'buy-it-at-the-counter', serve yourself style, but, that is a small price to pay for the great pizza.    [30 Jun 2006 20:08:06]

Very disappointing
We tried this place for the first time and maybe I had such high expectations because it was so expensive, but it was a huge letdown. The pizza only had toppings halway over the crust and I didn't think THAT was new york style, but it was mostly plain crust. We also ordered a couple types of pasta and the smoked chicken ravioli was incredible but the supposedly spicy sausage pasta had neither any sauce and absolutely no sausage in it. I was not even the tiniest bit spicy, and I asked before I ordered it. I was told it was VERY spicy. I actually thought we got the wrong thing, but I was already home so I called back in. They did offer me a replacement dish, which was good customer service, but I was extrememly disappointed and other than my replacement dish, I doubt I will dine there again.
