Some of the best Authentic Chinese and Americanized Chinese on Cleveland's east side
My husband and I have been trying to find authentic Chinese cuisine or at least something close to what he ate on his trip to Hong Kong. Hunan East comes the closest! From your standard chinese restaurant dishes of chow mein (crunchy noodles) and lo mein (soft noodles) to authentic cuisine like Beef Chow Fun (thick rice noodles), Hunan East has a wide variety to choose from. They have a regular Americanized Chinese menu, and they also have an authentic Chinese menu. If you want to order off of the authentic one, you have to ask for the menu.
It's small inside, with about 8 booths and a few tables, which seat about 4 people each. The tables are close in proximity. If you don't like eating close to other people, I'd recommend getting the order for take-out.
