The menu is "Peasant style old world Italian food" of which they have added their own "twist". There are daily specials including fresh fish, aged steaks and pasta delights. .

To enhance your dining experience, 18 of the Gavi wines are imported, along with other Italian, French and California wines. Gavi's wine list.

A little stuffy, but good food
The atmosphere is so thick, you want to whisper to your tablemates like in church. The staff however is excellent, as is the food. The dishes tend to be more rustic Italian (rarely "cuisine"), but usually done to perfection in their simplicity. An excellent wine selection, great staff, and consistantly good food make this a local favorite. If only the atmosphere would pick up a little.    [24 Feb 2005 20:49:46]
